The next 26th International Conference on High Resolution Molecular Spectroscopy will take place in Prague along the dates August 31 to September 4, 2020. We hope to see you in Prague in two years!

2019 has been declared as the International Year of the Periodic Table (IYPT). This is also the time when the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) is turning 100! As part of the celebration of IUPAC100 and the IYPT, IUPAC and the International Younger Chemists Network (IYCN) announces the creation of a ‘Periodic Table of Younger Chemists’. Beginning in July 2018 and ending in July 2019 at the World Chemistry Congress in Paris and IUPAC General Assembly, we will honour a diverse group of 118 outstanding younger chemists from around the world who embody the mission and core values of IUPAC (

The resulting periodic table will highlight the diversity of careers, creativity, and dedication of the young chemists leading us into the next century. See details here:

A program of social activities for the accompanying persons is now available on the website. You can see the complete information in the Social Program tab. The registration to the tours is permanently open but, please, we ask you to sign up before August 10 to make a minimum of 10 persons group for each tour. Throughout the month of August we will inform you about if finally the tours go ahead.

July 2, 2018.

TRAVEL GRANTS FOR STUDENTS. The local organization of the Conference can now confirm the availability of 20 TRAVEL GRANTS for Ph.D. students attending the meeting (150 euros/student). In order to apply, please send an email to the Conference Secretariat ( including: 1) Name and Registration number. 2) Short CV (1 page, A4, pdf format). The grants will be announced during the Conference Dinner on Friday, September 7, 2018. Please remember that registration to the Conference is permanently open, so new registrations are welcome. Abstract submission is also still possible but late abstracts will only be considered for poster sessions. Slots for oral communications of students are still possible, but interested individuals are asked to submit their contributions as soon as possible.

June 20, 2018.

The scientific committee of the Conference has planned to give Travel grants to students, but these aids are waiting for the resolution of the funding proposal that has been requested by the organization. We will inform as soon as possible about this matter.

June 18, 2018.

The DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION HAS NOW BEEN EXTENDED till JUNE 29th, 2018. Only abstracts received by that date are guaranteed acceptance into the printed Abstract Book. The scientific committee of the Conference will inform all participants about the acceptance of the submitted communications. Post-deadline abstracts will possible until before the Conference, but they will be placed in poster sessions on a space-available basis. Information on the scientific program and additional details on the Conference will be made public in the third Circular, to be released in the month of July.

END OF EARLY REGISTRATION Early registration for the 25th International Conference on High Resolution Molecular Spectroscopy Conference, to be held in Bilbao next September 3-7, 2018, has ended. Registration continues until the opening of the conference (including on-site) at additional costs.

The plenary talk by Geoffrey Blake (Caltech) has been canceled by the speaker. This conference has been replaced by GARY E. DOUBERLY (University of Georgia, Cedar St. Athens, GA, USA), who will talk on Spectroscopy of Molecular Radicals in Helium Droplets.
